Description
Adult Training Cartridge is a cartridge to be installed into the HeartStart OnSite AED Defibrillator. The defibrillator’s ability to deliver a shock is suspended and its training mode is activated. This enables the CPR instructor to run any of eight emergency scenarios during a CPR and AED certification class. Depending on which cartridge is used, Adult or Infant/Child, the defibrillator’s voice instructions are reflected. This includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) coaching. The training will be appropriate for treating the age of the simulated victim.
Each Philips Adult Training cartridge consists of a removable clear protective lid with a handle, a resealable film cover, and a pair of reusable adhesive pads. It is packaged with a Pads Placement Guide (either Adult or Infant/Child) and illustrated instructions for installing the cartridge, using the Pads Placement Guide, and repackaging the cartridge after using it. A training pads cartridge can also be used on a manikin if connected with an external manikin adapter (M5089A).
American Heart Association recommends hands-on training for the effective use of an AED and administration of CPR.
